COVID-19 has strained our hospitals and created shortages of personal protective equipment, with flow on effects for many other medical procedures.
Most public hospitals in Australia don’t provide abortions and even before COVID-19 one in three women seeking and abortion found it difficult to finance the procedure.
Women in Australia face many challenges when seeking abortion. Erica Millar, a lecturer at La Trobe University spoke to Breakfast host Alex James about extra challenges women are facing since COVID-19.
