Access to air travel for everyone

Millions of Australian rely on air travel to visit family and friends, and connect with employment and education opportunities.

But people with disability frequently have bad experiences, facing unfair barriers that can make flying a nightmare.

Now the Australian Government has published a White Paper committing to introducing aviation disability standards to ensure a minimum level of accessibility.

Advocacy organisations, including the Justice and Equity Centre, have long called for this reform, which they say could improve flying for people with disability.

Erin Turner Manners, Senior Solicitor at the Justice and Equity Centre joined 2SER Breakfast to discuss.
