After Mariupol – is Odesa next?
A whole city the size of greater Canberra or Newcastle has been razed to the ground by the Russian Army. There is virtually nothing left of Mariupol.
The strategy of the Russians was to achieve a ‘land bridge’ to the already annexed Crimea, but now they are saying they need it to go to another Russian “enclave” in neighbouring Moldova – the Transnistria corridor. The trouble is more of Ukraine including the “Black Pearl” of the Black Sea, Odesa, is in the way.
