‘After Nature’ Janet Laurence

Climate change. Global Warming. Pollution.

Whatever opinion you hold on the matter, the state of our environment is a dominant narrative of our time. But, not so long ago it was a topic shrugged off and reserved for ‘tree loving hippies’. Even in the art world, few saw the environment as a worthy subject matter.

And so for about 35 years our guest has been the somewhat lone voice in exploring the environment and it’s fragility through her art. But now, both in art and beyond; the world has caught up and is ready to hear her.

Acclaimed Sydney based artist, Janet Laurence joined Sid Sharma to talk about her new exhibition ‘After Nature’ that’s showing at the Museum of Contemporary Art until 1 June 2019.
