Aftermath Of The Codeine Ban
From the 1st February 2018, painkillers containing codeine have been pulled off the shelf and are now a prescription only medicine. This means Australian’s relying on medication such as Panadeine and Nurofen Plus are left to find another alternative or take a visit to the GP. While the ban is fresh in its first few days, the question lies how will people be affected by this ban? The Daily was joined on the line by Adjunct Associate Professor Chris Alderman from School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences at University of South Australia to discuss the aftermath.
