Is the AIDS Epidemic Over in Australia?
Since the 1980s, the AIDS epidemic has radically changed our understanding and awareness of terminal illnesses. However due to recent developments in medicine and technology, researchers and the Australian Federation of AIDS Organizations now consider the epidemic to be over.
Today we were joined by Professor Simon Mallal, Director for the Institute of Immunology and Infectious Diseases at Murdoch University, to discuss the latest developments towards AIDS and HIV medication and how manageable the disease is today.
