Ali’s Wedding

They say a truth is stranger than fiction and with the cinematic release of Ali’s Wedding people are going to get a chance to see the life of a young Iraqi refugee as he tries to negotiate his life through life’s challenges. The film based on the Award winning memoir “Good Muslim Boy” has been adapted to the screen, the film already taking out the audience award at the Sydney Film Festival, where it touched hearts and simultaneously tickled funnybones. Stephen Hill talked to writer and actor of the film, comedian Osamah Sami about the life story that inspired “Ali’s Wedding”, and the writing process of adapting his film to the screen.
