A petition is calling for strengthened youth safety legislation in Australia’s dance industry following recent allegations of abuse, grooming and coercion in dance schools across the nation.

Advocacy bodies have criticised working with children check loopholes, inconsistencies in mandatory reporting laws and the need for stricter safety protections in youth extracurricular activities.
