Allens Lollies: Red Ripper and Cheekies
This week, Allens Lollies has announced changed major names to their popular products, RedSkins and Chicos. From January 2021 they will be known as the Red Ripper and Cheekies. This announcement has even encouraged Coon Cheese to start the process of rebranding their products to be less offensive. Language shapes our world but also evolves and with that we must evolve with it too. This is a small but significant step forward that has set an example for other companies to follow. 2SER was joined by Roslyn Petelin from the University of Queensland to discuss more.
