American Tariffs and Australian Medicine: what can we expect?

United Stated President, Donald Trump has expressed plans to impose tariffs on foreign imports, which could include Australian medicines.
With this comes a possible impact of the Albanese Government’s commitment to ensuring prescription medicines cost no more than $25 per script – a policy reaffirmed during this week’s pre-election budget – but could these prospective tariffs affect demand for Australian medicine supply and, the domestic cost of medicine for Australians?
