For his News Hound segment on the Tuesday Daily, Max Dary presents a story that might not always make big headlines but is equally, if not more, interesting to hear about. Frequently, these stories involve animals. And also frequently, Max and Lachlan don’t know enough about animals to understand every part of them. So, as part of the special News Hound show that took place on Tuesday 30th July, Lachlan spoke with Dr Tim Hopkins from the Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH) to get some answers.

Dr Tim spoke about several animal stories that were previously on the show and shone a big light on all the tiny details that weren’t able to be covered when they were first reported on. He explained what happened to the million bees that escaped a truck in the Canadian wilderness, how you can tell the age of a dog, and why it actually isn’t that crazy that Charlotte the stingray might have become pregnant on her own.
