Dr. Weliton Menário Costa, a PhD graduate from ANU, recently took first place in the 2024 ‘Dance Your PhD’ contest with his video ‘Kangaroo Time’ the video, and accompanying song outlines the behavioural patterns of native Kangaroos through song and dance, and drives home a very important message about diversity in our wider society.

Producer Nick sat down with Dr Weli over zoom to chat about the video, his creative processes and what he plans to do in the future.
