Apple Homepod and the rise of the smart speaker
Yesterday Apple announced an early February launch date for its Homepod speaker, but if you’re not a tech-head you might have been wondering “what on earth is a Homepod?”
The Homepod is one of the growing range of smart speakers, joining the Google Home and Amazon Echo range, which integrate voice assistants. Basically, you can talk to your speaker to put on music, change volume and much more.
