Jacinda Ardern has become internationally celebrated due to her handling of coronavirus, among other issues, but the election might not be so easily won.

While the National party’s internal disarray has made it look easy for Ardern, a tough contender in new opposition leader Judith Collins has emerged.

The Daily was joined by Grant Duncan, Associate Professor in Politics at Massey University, New Zealand, to discuss the candidates, their strengths and how the election might shape up.
