Are we about to see the end of bank cards?

The security of your bank card, and especially the number on it, is vital.
Recently Mastercard said it planned to remove the 16-digit number from their credit and debit cards by 2030. That’s all part of a move to stamp out identity theft and fraud.
Professor Gary Mortimer has taken a closer look at what’s being done to combat this, and which new ways of paying safely are (as it were) on the cards.
He’s from the QUT Business School, and joined us on the Thursday Daily this morning, to talk about the future of making payments.
