Artificial Intelligence: A New Conversation

The AI revolution is not so much about cyborgs and super-robots in the future, but rather massive changes in the here-and-now of everyday life. We use advanced AI technology in everything we do – from requesting items online, talking to internet and over the phone chat bots, to requesting UberEats.

It is predicted that by 2020, the average person will be having more conversations with robots than their partner, as more than 60% of internet traffic is generated by machine to machine, person to person communication.

This integration of AI technology could change the way we construct our conversations and how we speak to each other.

Executive Director of the Hawke EU Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence at the University of South Australia and Author of THE CULTURE OF AI, published by Routledge, we had Professor Anthony Elliott to discuss the future of AI communication.
