If you’ve had a glance over any Best New Artists or Artists To Watch lists over the last year and a half, there’s a big, big chance you’ve come across the name ASHWARYA. 

The Melbourne based artist began turning heads last year with the release of the energetic and arresting ‘Psycho Hole’ and since then she’s been steadily drip-feeding eclectic singles, including a huge collaboration with Chicago rapper Vic Mensa. 

She’s now dropped her debut EP, the smart and provocative Nocturnal Hours, and it’s only cemented her status as the Next Big Thing in pop. ASHWARYA joined Jules and Mick on the Tuckshop for  a chat about her background, her influences and what has shaped her sound so far.
