As the lockdown continues, it’s clear that getting vaccinated is critical to protecting health and returning to some version of normalcy. But jab take up has been impacted by concerns about the AstraZeneca vaccine . Heavily publicised cases of blood clotting along with competing medical advice has led to high rates of people preferring to wait for Pfizer, even as AstraZeneca becomes available en masse for people under 40 in Sydney.
Professor Greg Dore from the Kirby Institute at UNSW spoke to Toby on The Daily about the reluctance and risk around AstraZeneca and the need to get vaccinated.
