Australia Excluded from American Tariff on Steel and Aluminium

Over the past week, President Donald Trump has levied tariffs on the import of steel by 25% and aluminium by 10% on every country except the US neighbours, Canada and Mexico.

Despite trade agreements between Australia and the United States, Australia wasn’t made exempt from this tariff until the 10th of March. The Daily was joined by Griffith University’s Professor Tony Makin to discuss this and more.
