Australia Falling Behind OECD Countries on Research and Development Spending
Universities Australia are calling on Government and businesses to to ‘rev up’ research and development or risk our national prosperity. In a report released by the organisation today, figures show that spending on research and development has fallen by 7% in the last three years. Ahead of a parliamentary inquiry into research funding, Universities Australia is urging the government to build research capacity at universities across the country. Their Chief Executive, Catriona Jackson spoke to The Daily.
