Is Australia Prepared for the Future?
It’s difficult to gauge just how quickly the world is changing, in no small part due to the increasingly rapid progression of technology.
A recent report on Australian attitudes toward the future, which covered topics such as the property market and the workforce, showed almost half of Australians believe our businesses are future-ready, and a similar amount believe our kids have the necessary skillsets for tomorrow’s jobs.
Author of the report and futurist Claire Madden, who spoke to Nic, expressed her concerns at the confidence the findings suggest, and the implications of perhaps being less prepared for the future than we think we are.
