Australia much like the US has a hard lined stance on China especially in terms of its military action. This could see Australia step in along with Japan and others in the region to assist Taiwan if the US doesn’t. Another scenario could be that as a moral obligation Australia would have to provide aid to the US in support of Taiwan.
