Australian faces at Eurovision
The Eurovision song contest is this weekend and this year Australia will once again be represented by Indigenous performer Jessica Mauboy. Has our past and present choice of representatives indicates a push to show the world a “new” face of Australian identity? Away from the “where the bloody hell are you” era of an exclusively Anglo identity? We spoke to RMIT senior lecturer Dr. Catherine Strong about the face Australia is choosing to present to the world stage.
