Australian Attitudes During World Refugee Day

Are Australia’s migration levels too high? New figures released by the Lowy Institute show that more than half of Australians oppose our current rate of immigration. But are Australians really as unwelcoming as these figures make us sound? To mark World Refugee Day, we chatted to Rnita Dacho, Fundraising Assistant for the Refugee Council of Australia about Australia’s attitudes towards refugees and migrants.
