Australian Wealth Inequality Worsens Amidst Cost of Living Crisis
Oxfam Australia’s latest annual report on wealth inequality shows billionaires in Australia have doubled their wealth since 2020, despite a global pandemic and the cost of living crisis.
The report, called ‘Inequality Inc,’ revealed billionaires have increased their wealth by 70%, while many everyday Australians struggle to put food on the table.
Oxfam is calling on the Australian government to scrap the Stage THREE tax cuts, and implement a progressive taxation system.
