When you think world class whisky, your mind probably automatically drifts to romantic notions of a centuries old distillery in Scotland or Ireland where dusty oak barrels lay with their amber contents maturing over the years.
But us Aussies are raising a dram and getting in on producing our own world class whisky. At the recent Australian Distilled Spirit Awards, Limeburners Distillery in Albany, Western Australia, took out the top award of “Champion Distiller” as well a host of other awards.
Mitch caught up with Limeburners’ founder, Cameron Syme.
