Australian’s losing almost $1billion to wage theft
A new study shows that Australian workers are being underpaid around $850 million each year, causing the country to lose economic activity.
The research, based on Fair Work Ombudsman audits spanning a considerable timeframe, revealed notable breaches of regulations in a significant portion of audited businesses.
These findings point to challenges faced by a considerable portion of the workforce and have far-reaching economic implications.
