Australia’s agreement to reduce 2005-level emissions by 26 per cent in has been slashed in half, and is now only at 12.25 per cent – significantly less than the targeted reduction. The change has been swept under the rug in the chaos of this week’s news cycle, and not many people have been made aware of it.

Tim Baxter is a Fellow of Melbourne Law School and Associate of the Climate and Energy College, and he told Breakfast how this happened and what it means.
