Australia is a leading investor in technology in educational institutions but what’s the real impact of these technologies on kids? In this day and age can you imagine a world without technology? It’s pretty much taken over almost every aspect of our lives and Australia is one of the leading players in terms of investment in technology, particularly in schools. We are rapidly moving towards app-based learning, e-books and digital education resulting in tech-savvy kids but research shows that technology has had no big positive impact but rather has led to a downfall in academic performance. To discuss this further, we had Professor Deborah Richards from the department of computing, Macquarie University.
