Australia’s own Gothic Tradition

When you think of the Gothic as a genre, you might imagine torrential rain pouring down upon a lonely mansion, or a vampire sinking its fangs into the neck of a sleeping human. But Australia has its own Gothic tradition that’s distinct from that which flourishes in Europe. The Daily was joined by Dr Emma Doolan, Lecturer in Writing at the Southern Cross University, to discuss this genre and where it stands in modern Australia.
