Australia issued a warning to any travellers heading to Hong Kong to exercise a high degree of caution because of the threat of violent clashes between protestors and police. Mass protests in Hong Kong have been ongoing since June in response to a Chinese extradition bill and having learned from past mistakes, protestors are becoming more militant and more organised, although fears of an escalation in the Chinese response is omnipresent. The Daily spoke to Dr Amanda Tattersall from The University of Sydney, author, and host of the ChangeMakers podcast, who recently visited the area.
