Autonomous cars are no longer a thing of the future: Tesla, Google, and Uber are test-driving cars across America, aiming to remove human error from one of the most dangerous acts we engage in on a daily basis.

But a recent crash in Arizona, resulting in the death of a pedestrian, raises questions about responsibility and whether the technology is safe.
