Baird backflips on greyhound ban

NSW Premier Mike Baird is set to uplift the controversial greyhound bans which was set to end the slaughter of dogs and introduce tough new penalties for animal cruelty. The Baird government had bled politically on the issue since its introduction, but there was a change of mind from the Premier since his approval ratings had fallen from 61% to 39% and his dissatisfaction rate has doubled.

Professor of Animal Welfare Clive Phillips joined presenter Sam Baran to discuss the implications of Baird’s backflip.
