Baird Resignation: What Does This Mean For NSW?
19.01.2017 news broke that NSW Premier Mike Baird was resigning from politics after a ten year career, stepping down after less than two years into his elected term. While Baird wasn’t completing his full term as Premier, he had made a huge impact to NSW, including his many infrastructural developments. Although, his time serving as premiere had not been short of controversy with his lockout laws, backflip on the greyhound racing ban and council amalgamation policies. With a Premier whose goal was to not stay for a good time not a long, just how long-lasting would Baird’s legacy be? The Daily was joined on the line by Bligh Grant, Senior Lecturer at the Institute for Public Policy and Governance at the University of Technology Sydney, discussing what the future of NSW will look like.
