The Bali Two – Twelve months on
Today marks the one year anniversary of the executions of Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran – also known as the Bali Two. At the time, the mass emotion surrounding the case inspired a new push against the death penalty. But the Bali Two were not the only people executed that day, and they certainly weren’t the only two executed last year. Earlier this month, Amnesty International released a report showing that the world saw the highest number of recorded executions in more than 25 years in 2015.
