Bats – the answer to immunity?

When we think of animals that are friendly to humans.. we think of dogs, birds, cats.. but probably not bats. More known for sucking blood than anything else bats don’t have the greatest reputation.

But could bats hold the key to fighting off diseases in humans? It all comes down to their immune system. Some interesting research by the CSIRO has revealed bats have a unique way of fighting infections.
