Battle of the Labs: MS researchers showcase their work in unique campaign
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic neurological disease that affects 2.3 million people globally. It is one of the most common neurological diseases and cause of disability in young people, but there is still no cure.
Each year in May the Kiss Goodbye to MS Campaign runs across the world, spreading awareness of MS and raising funds to put towards finding a cure. This year, researchers from Australian universities have put together creative videos to showcase their MS research as part of the “Battle of the Labs.”
Sam Baran was joined in the studio by Dr Alessandro Castorina, who runs the Laboratory of Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience at UTS, to chat about their contribution to Battle of the Labs, and how they are working towards finding a cure for MS.
