Being a Gay Doctor During the HIV/AIDS Epidemic

It was a big decision for Dr David Bradford to come out as gay to his religious family. It was a big decision to defy their wishes and become a sexual health physician. It was an even bigger decision to become Victoria’s chief Venereologist during the early spread of the HIV/AIDS virus, a time when many of David’s friends and colleagues succumbed to its symptoms.

Dr Bradford has recorded experiences from his amazing life in his new book, “Tell me I’m Ok’ and joined Tess Connery to talk a little bit about some of his experiences.

Dr Bradford’s book can be purchased here.
