Belvoir’s ‘Counting and Cracking’ production heads to New York

Following a sold out premiere in its 2019 Sydney season in, and its 2022 UK tour, Belvoir’s smash-hit production Counting and Cracking is back in Sydney for a short time and shouldn’t be missed!

Counting and Cracking follows the journey of a Sri Lankan-Australian family over four generations – from 1956 to 2004. The production features 19 performers from six different countries, speaking five different languages, performing 50 characters (seamlessly, might I add).

It plays at Carriageworks from now till July 21, before traveling all the way to the big apple – New York City – from 6th to the 22nd September – in partnership with The Public Theatre and Skirball. Writer and associate director of Counting and Cracking, S. Shakthidharan, joined Danny Chifley on the 2ser Breakfast Show.
