Benjamin Gilmore is the writer and director of Jirga which premiered at the Sydney film festival this year. It centres around an Australian soldier who goes back to Afghanistan in search of redemption. Shot on location in Afghanistan with a tiny crew on a camera bought in a Pakistani shopping mall, the story of the production is just about as good as the film itself.  Benjamin talked with Drive’s Julia Carr-Catzel about the film.
