The Big Anxiety Festival

Chilling out in a pod, sitting at a long table with strangers and being transported into virtual reality are all part of an upcoming arts festival designed to promote the benefits of a daily dose of creativity on reducing anxiety. The Big Anxiety Festival, starting next month across Sydney, will confront mental health head on with events planned to promote innovation, start conversations and encourage curiosity. With 1 in 4 Australians experiencing some form of anxiety, could a daily dose of creativity help us? And is it possible to feel anxious about an anxiety festival? We were joined by the festival’s director, Professor Jill Bennett.
