Big Pharma Events May Lead To Over-Diagnosis By Doctors
Researchers have found that large drug companies are holding educational events for doctors to showcase expensive medications. This could potentially lead doctors to prescribe less effective drugs or overtreatment, according to a new report.
The Daily was joined by Dr Barbara Mintzes, a senior lecturer at the Charles Perkins Centre and Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Sydney and one of the authors of the report.
