Bill in Queensland could raise the age of criminal responsibility
Greens MP Michael Berkman has introduced a bill to Queensland Parliament proposing to raise the minimum age for criminal responsibility from 10 to 14 years old.
The bill could prove useful in addressing systemic discrimination against First Nations People in Queensland who are disproportionately represented in the youth criminal justice system.
