Black Deaths in Custody

To mark 30 years following the royal commission into Aboriginal deaths in custody, thousands of Australians were rallying were marching across Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Alice Springs and Lismore. With more than 470 Indigenous people having died in custody in the past 30 years and at least five deaths since the beginning of March this year, there are still so much injustice and many unanswered questions, mainly “how is this still happening in 2021. We had Luke McNamara, the Co-Director, Centre for Crime, Law and Justice from UNSW here with us to share his insights into this matter.
