Black Snapper International Film Festival

The black snapper international film festival is currently running at Macquarie University (it started 20 November and will finish on 1st December at the State Library in the City).  The festival showcases the best selection of student films and documentaries from all over the world (85 countries).

The festival received about 1100 entries from 85 countries.  The festival screened 80 movies from 35 countries at the State Library from where the winners will be announced on Friday 1.12.23’s night at the Library’s Auditorium, a beautifully restored wood-panelled theatre with 330 seats!  Everyone is welcome…

There are many prizes to win – the jury prize for outstanding achievement in fiction is worth $2000 and the same amount for documentary.    Jury prize for outstanding achievement in Animation is worth $1000.  The audience award is set at $1000.
