Body Positivity Soars On Instagram

I want you to think about how you feel after you accidentally spend an afternoon mindlessly scrolling on Instagram. Chances are you feel pretty unproductive, and like you really should have started on that assignment, or that project for work, or making dinner.

But for many young women that time spent on Instagram seeing picture after picture of Kardashians, bikini-clad models, and social media influencers can have a damaging effect on their body image and mental health.

However there are women trying to change that by posting ‘body positive’ content on their Instagrams. Today we have Rachel Cohen on the line, an expert of body positivity and founder of the Empower Me Project, who is also a clinical psychologist at Black Dog Institute.
