The fictional piece unfolds inside a theatre featuring a performance of a Samuel Beckett play while the bushfires rage around the country. The juxtaposition between heat and cold is startling and sets the scene for deep reflection, contemplation and a bit of discomfort. Thomas explores each of the main female character’s stories, down to the finest details and analyses what the female experience looks and feels like right now.
