Georgina Young’s ‘Loner’, winner of the 2019 Text prize, is an intriguing indie novel exploring the trials and errors of growing up and navigating the world.
Lona has ditched art school and spends her days sneaking into the dark room to develop photos and DJ-ing at the local roller disco. Her lack of direction scares her but she’s not sure how to overcome it.
