Breakthrough in Peanut Allergy Treatment

Peanut allergies cause harm and trauma to Australians each day – due to severe allergic reactions which can be potentially life-threatening.

According to a new study out of London’s Children’s Hospital and King’s College, by introducing peanuts into an individual’s diet over time, a treatment has been found which will prevent severe allergic reactions in the future.

To discuss this, The Daily’s Julia Carr-Catzel spoke with Professor Dianne Campbell, Head of Allergy & Immunology at The Children Hospital at Westmead.
