Bringing science to the masses
Public interest in science is increasing, and there is now a platform for non-professionals to get involved.
Citizen science is allowing everyday people to undertake research and make a valuable contribution to science projects that have a real world impact.
Paul Flemons is the Manager of Digital Collections and Citizen Science at the Australian Museum and a member of the Management Committee of the Australian Citizen Science Association.
Paul is also the creator and manager of the DigiVol crowdsourcing website for digitising collections and capturing biodiversity data from images, and he joined us to tell us about some other exciting citizen science projects, and how you can get involved.
